hi, i'm claire
Hailing from Indianapolis, Indiana, I am a web designer by day and a freelance photographer by night. I love being behind the lens with my low-posed, natural-feeling photography style. I specialize in shooting in natural light, whether that be in your well-lit home or out on in nature. My style is relaxed, minimally-posed, and subject-driven. While this is my comfort zone, a challenge has never scared me. I proudly welcome clients of all genders, sexualities, races, and religions to stand in front of my lens.
I love classic rock and heavy metal (see: my package names), being active, indulging myself in a film, the Philadelphia Eagles, and documenting love stories. My dog and I live by the beach and never miss a sunny day outside. I look forward to meeting with you and capturing your special moments.

I will reach out via email and schedule a call or meet up if need be. We will chat about budget, ideas, and deeper details.
Sign & pay
Finally, a contract will be sent. The invoice will be sent at contract signing. Down payment or full payment, as outlined in contract, are due at contract signing.

The best way to generate business is by sharing my art with others- on social media, in magazines, or through other channels of advertisement and art display. If you are not comfortable with you or your child's face being shared or if your shoot is sensitive in nature, please tell me at agreement signing so that I can prepare appropriately, pose you in ways that artistically hide you or your children's faces, and am still able to safely share my work.
booking & payments
A non-refundable retainer of 50% is required to secure your date, unless otherwise stated. This amount will be applied toward your total balance.The remaining balance is due 7 days before the scheduled session. I accept Credit Card, Afterpay, and Bank Transfers, but Venmo, Cash, Zelle, or PayPal are preferred.
rescheduling & cancellations
If you need to move your session, please provide at least 72 hours notice. One complimentary reschedule is permitted; additional moves may require a new retainer. If a session is canceled by the client, the retainer fee is forfeited. For outdoor sessions, I monitor the forecast closely. If weather conditions are unsafe or unsuitable, we will reschedule at no additional cost.
punctuality & Permits
Your session starts at the agreed-upon time. If you are late, that time is deducted from your total session duration. If you are more than 20 minutes late, your session may be cancelled and a new retainer may be required for rescheduling. This ensures back to back shoots run smoothly. If you request a specific location that requires a permit or entrance fee, the client is responsible for those costs.
editing & Delivery
By booking, you acknowledge that you have reviewed my portfolio and trust my editing style. Raw or unedited files are not provided under any circumstances. Sneak peeks are typically delivered within 3 days. Your full, edited gallery delivery depends on the size of the gallery and content of the shoot. All edited images will be provided in an online gallery, regardless of addition of physical copies.
term agreements
By paying your retainer or completing your invoice, you confirm you agree to these terms and conditions. These ensure both you and I are protected, as well as your images. Thank you in advance for keeping these things in mind when booking with me. I appreciate your support for my small business more than you know.
image ownership & usage
Photography by Claire Cross retains the copyright to all images. Clients are welcome to share images on social media. Print can be purchased through my gallery site. Images may not be sold to third parties or used for commercial advertising without prior written consent and payment. When posting, a tag or credit to @PhotographyByClaireCross is always appreciated
